Going Green

- i really like the concept of an acorn pendant in a cluster of oak trees but i think this one on string or is that some kind of crochet is a little too 'hippy' for me. so I'm not a fan of this particular item but the idea i really like, -

- i love the feel of this photograph, moody, soft but striking and sharp. i noticed in my last post there are a few details of agapanthuses as well. think I'm drawn to their airy and lite but bold and compact feel, very neat but free at the same time-

- i would really like to incorporate enamel on my 6 ring design, i think i would rather go for a plain cream with a pencil sketch on the top, I'm thinking of doing a short course in the holiday just to make sure I'm comfortable with the technique so i can execute it. i really am thinking about the 6 ring thing a lot and would really like it to be a true reflection of what i like and so it can make a statement as well as tell a story when it is out on display at the end of the year, I'm sure i am over thinking this but i just really want them to be amazing, i really want this...-

- i think i should start my own line of wellington boots, nice slim line ones to fit a female calf with anazing patterens with all this rain i think it is worth it, so we to can stop around in the puddles like this little girl with not a crae in the world -

KIDS CORNER

- remember the days of shooting paper jets... so simple, entertaining and fun.-
i. love.
its is what it is and the shape sparks memories with us all- i would love to do origami for my 6 ring design but unfortunately it will not fit this brief,

- iv been looking for those toy windmills you blow on to make them roll around for inspiration for my 6 ring project. i really like the concept and the bright colour and blurry patches of this image but overall i don't like the way it look so computer generated so i will find another one that i will use for my inspiration -

Lets Go Victorian

-Oh the moustache such a fun loving character! More to poke fun of than to own I would say, so this interchangeable moustache necklace maybe ideal for some. I still have not found any for Perspex though... for now it can stick to tables and chairs -

-Im all for vintage / Victorian photography but there is something spooky about the self portraits. They way there is never any engagement with the camera and almost lifeless glace (away from the camera). Today we capture moments and emotions, back then it was almost about capturing the seriousness and strength of the character which compare with today’s images they look a little soulless. -

I heart all things mini

-One of my friends has this necklace and I absolutely adore it. We are all familiar with the paper jet, whether you were smacked in the back of the head with one in maths class or had competitions down the corridor at home on whose jet would fly rather. We all hold a memory from something so simple yet interesting. I’m a fan -

-
I recently got a Diana mini 35mm film camera and it is honestly the best thing since sliced bread! Not only are the images so cool and you really have no option but to just capture the moment the manual is just so funny, here is a snippet so you too can have a chuckle, “its been proven by top scientists working in a top scientific lab in a very important country on earth that some people cant dance because their weight is incorrectly shifted by 235 grams in the wrong direction. This means bad coordination and therefore bad rhythm. We made the Diana Mini to weigh precisely 235 grams (loaded and with flash) so if you wear it around your neck on the dance floor you will finally be able to look good when busting your moves. This new equilibrium will work well in all general situations that require good balance. Another reason to take your Diana Mini everywhere you go....”-

-This little fellow- there are no words to describe how ugly he is, he’s so ugly he is cute and I actually can’t stop staring! The more I gawk, the more I like him, his little legs and tail and chomping on the the chain, he’s just darling...- but then reality hits and ewww, I’m so not a fan of stones, I would rather have texture and colour from something else but a stone, I don’t know what it is, maybe I will grow to love them the more I use them but for now they just scream bilng bilng and I AM anti bling bling because for me bling bling goes way further than the encrusted dollar sign, and diamante covered everything all the way to this fellow here. Glitz and glam- I’m out! -

- You have really stumped me on this task! There are not many things I don’t like, well not that I can think of it, I’m always thinking of great things that inspire me and when I do come across something I don’t like I look for the things I could like about it and how it could be changed. I like the composition of this image, the fact that it is an ashtray is not ideal. When I really look at it I feel a bit sick to be honest, if you look closely you can almost smell the stale smoke leaching into your beautiful clean hair. It’s that same seeping into my skin feeling I get when I’m in the lift and someone gets in with their big, black, bulging at the seams dustbin bag. It’s just my worst; I can’t even eat smoked chicken! That is how much smoking and smoke kills my vibe! blah -

GrEY gReY GReY

I truly am obsessed with the colour grey, how boring my mom would say but anything in the colour draws me in. from small woodland creatures to scarf’s and nail polish. I mixed my own grey nail polish last night - tipped the white in to black and created what I believe is a master piece. I just can’t get enough!
